Singer Dane Bowers has revealed he is closely following the recent public saga involving his ex-girlfriend Katie Price and her husband, Lee Andrews.

Bowers, who dated Price between 1998 and 2000, said he has been "hooked" on the unfolding events and even texted Price to ask if the situation was a "wind up." He noted that he knows people who know Andrews through their mutual residence in Dubai, where both men now live.

"I don't think anything that has been said is true," Bowers told Contact Music. "I don't get it. He must know that people know he's talking rubbish. It's bizarre. I'm hooked on it as well. My missus tells me new updates and it's like madness. I just don't know when it's going to stop. But it is funny."

Andrews has made several notable claims since marrying Price, including allegations of being kidnapped and detained in Dubai on espionage charges, adopting Price's children, and planning a bid to purchase Chelsea Football Club.

Bowers also addressed his past relationship with Price, which ended partly due to her jealousy over his collaboration with Victoria Beckham on the song "Out of Your Mind." Price has recently revisited this period in her new Sky documentary, "Katie Price: Nothing To Hide." In the documentary, she expressed that her relationship with Bowers was "perfect" until he began working with Beckham, suggesting it made her feel inadequate and that Beckham may have tried to set him up with her friend. Price also recounted being denied access to accompany Bowers on tour during that time.

Despite the past tension, Bowers stated that he and Price are on friendly terms, saying, "If we saw each other we'd say hello, I've got nothing against Kate and probably vice versa." He appears in the documentary discussing their past romance. Price, meanwhile, has continued to express animosity towards Beckham, referring to her as "Misery Spice" and questioning her portrayal as a "supermum" in media appearances. Despite these public criticisms, Price also acknowledged respecting Beckham "as a woman."
