Daisy Edgar-Jones attended a special screening for her new film "Sense & Sensibility" in London on Wednesday evening, showcasing a daring fashion choice. The 28-year-old actress was accompanied by her co-star Esmé Creed-Miles at the event, which was hosted by Edith Bowman and Universal Pictures at The Whiteley Hotel.
Edgar-Jones opted for a black lacy dress that revealed pink lingerie underneath, paired with stiletto heels. She wore her brunette hair loose and completed the look with subtle makeup and minimal accessories. Creed-Miles, 26, presented a more casual ensemble, featuring an oversized leather jacket, a shirt, and blue jeans.
The two actors are currently engaged in the promotional tour for the new Jane Austen adaptation, slated for cinema release on September 25. Earlier in the week, Edgar-Jones and Creed-Miles also led the arrivals at the "Sense and Sensibility" premiere in Leicester Square.
Based on Jane Austen's debut novel, the film tells the story of two sisters navigating love and societal expectations in 18th-century Britain. Edgar-Jones plays Elinor Dashwood, the elder sister, who is guided by practicality, while Creed-Miles portrays Marianne, the younger sister, driven by passion. The film captures romance, humor, and scenic landscapes.
The latest adaptation of Austen's classic novel is set to be released in the UK on September 25 and premiered in London on Tuesday, September 15. The trailer depicts the Dashwood sisters and their mother being forced to leave their family estate and relocate to a modest cottage, experiencing life on the societal fringes and encountering new suitors.
