A viral TikTok video featuring a dark figure standing in a wooded area alongside a road has captured public attention, amassing over 17 million views. The father who posted the video claims his children first spotted the figure while they were in a car, leading him to turn around and film what he believes to be Bigfoot.
The video, which shows the figure amongst the trees as a vehicle passes, has sparked widespread debate online. Many viewers expressed skepticism, with some commenters suggesting the figure resembles a yard display or that the video quality is too poor to be conclusive.
"You really tryna tell me that, in 2026, your phone camera has qualify so good that I could count the leaves on any given tree, yet somehow you managed to record specifically JUST BIGFOOT on a 1990s flip phone camera," one skeptic commented. Others likened the footage quality to being "filmed on a potato."
Conversely, a segment of viewers believe the video genuinely depicts Bigfoot. Some proponents of this view cited the figure's apparent motion and blurriness as characteristics consistent with sightings of the elusive creature. One commenter suggested that Bigfoot is an "Interdimensional being" whose high vibration affects camera quality, leading to a blurry image.
Further complicating interpretations, some viewers claim to have seen more than one figure in the video. The uploader has invited public opinion on the footage, leaving the determination of whether the figure is Bigfoot, a yard decoration, or something else to the viewer.
Todd Neiss, founder of the American Primate Conservancy, has stated his belief in Bigfoot, citing personal experiences and local reports of howls and large footprints in Ohio. Neiss described the creatures as large and athletic. His own encounter in 1993 during a military exercise contributed to his conviction.
