Tennessee Titans head coach Robert Saleh and offensive coordinator Brian Daboll, once rivals as NFL head coaches, are now working together with the Titans. Saleh, who was fired by the New York Jets five games into the 2024 season, hired Daboll, who was dismissed by the New York Giants after 10 games last season, to lead his offense.
Daboll, who began his tenure with the Giants in 2022 with a 9-7-1 record and a playoff victory, could not replicate that success in subsequent seasons, ultimately finishing with a 20-40-1 record during his time with the team. He has indicated he is not interested in revisiting his previous role.
Saleh and Daboll, who previously faced each other in joint practices as opposing head coaches, are now collaborating in Tennessee. Saleh was hired by the Titans in January and subsequently turned to his former New York colleague to fill the offensive coordinator position.
