The Crown Prosecution Service has formally requested the extradition of Andrew and Tristan Tate to face trial in the United Kingdom. The request comes as the brothers are confronted with 38 new charges, which include allegations of sexual offenses against four victims. These new charges are in addition to 21 existing charges.
Andrew and Tristan Tate have previously denied any wrongdoing. The Daily Mail reported on July 19, 2026, that the Crown Prosecution Service had made the extradition request. The publication also posed a poll question to its readers: "Should it be made easier to extradite those accused of crimes to the UK?" The results of the poll were expected to be published in a subsequent newsletter.
