Danny Cipriani, the former England rugby player, and US actress AnnaLynne McCord held their wedding ceremony in the backyard of their Los Angeles home on Saturday. The event, which featured approximately 60 guests, reportedly had around 15 empty seats. The couple had previously attracted controversy for requesting that family and friends contribute to their wedding expenses, totaling approximately £10,000, through donations on their wedding website.

The couple's wedding website, established on the Honeyfund platform, solicited contributions ranging from $100 to $600. Specific requested items included $125 for music, with a violinist and saxophonist present at the ceremony, a $100 wedding certificate, $600 for floristry, and a $600 cake. Funds were also sought for photography ($1,500), catering ($1,750), a rehearsal dinner ($500), and wedding construction costs ($4,800), bringing the total requested amount to over £10,660, excluding additional cash donations.

Actress AnnaLynne McCord explained the crowdfunding approach by stating that guests were frequently asking for gift ideas. She mentioned having many household items and that the wedding invite suggested contributions for elements like flowers and music. McCord stated she mistakenly made the wedding wishlist public, believing it was only shared with her guest list.

McCord addressed the public reaction, telling The Sun that she received criticism, with some guests donating small amounts to leave negative comments. She also reported receiving death threats. Insiders reportedly branded the crowdfunding as "tacky and distasteful," given the couple's perceived lavish lifestyles.

Cipriani, who has an estimated net worth of around £4 million from his rugby career, and McCord, who has amassed a fortune from roles in shows like "Nip/Tuck" and "90210," proceeded with the ceremony. McCord wore a pastel, floral-embroidered gown with a cathedral-length veil, while Cipriani opted for a dark suit. The bridal party included at least 12 bridesmaids and flower girls.

The couple plans to hold two additional ceremonies, one in London and another in Cambodia. McCord has introduced herself as 'Mrs AnnaLynne Ciprani' on social media. The couple first met on the dating app Raya approximately a decade ago and have had an on-again, off-again relationship, most recently reconnecting in 2024.

McCord's engagement ring is described as a 15-carat, emerald-cut diamond with accent stones set in yellow gold. Cipriani was previously married to Victoria Rose, with whom he finalized a divorce in August 2024.
