Country music artist Tyler Hubbard sustained an injury during a family camping trip when a fishing hook became lodged in the back of his head. His wife, Hayley Stommel, subsequently removed the hook using pliers.

Hubbard, 39, shared a video of the incident on Instagram, documenting the moment his wife worked to extract the metal device from his scalp. The video also captured his children observing the situation.

During the extraction, Stommel commented on the hook's barbs, stating, "You can tell those little barbs really work." One of their children asked if their father was bleeding, to which Hubbard replied, "It's probably not bleeding a lot but it might be a little." Stommel offered words of encouragement to her husband, calling him "brave."

Despite the uncomfortable nature of the injury, Stommel was ultimately successful in removing the hook. The incident occurred while the family was camping, though the exact circumstances leading to the hook lodging in Hubbard's head remain unclear.

Hubbard, formerly of the duo Florida Georgia Line, has since embarked on a solo career. He and Stommel, married since 2015, have three children: Olivia, Luca, and Atlas.
