Recordings from a police van have revealed what appears to be the first confession from Vickrum Digwa in connection with the murder of Henry Nowak in Southampton.
In the conversation, Digwa can be heard discussing his mother's actions and her potential reaction to a conviction. "Mum was making a lot of noise. It was my fault," Digwa stated, according to the recording. His mother, Kiran Kaur, was convicted of assisting an offender for removing the murder weapon at Digwa's request and is awaiting sentencing.
Digwa also addressed the potential impact on his father, saying, "You and the father, nothing will happen." Neither Gurpreet Digwa nor their father faced charges related to Nowak's murder.
However, Vickrum Digwa, Gurpreet Digwa, and their father, Moga Singh, were charged with multiple weapons offenses on the same day Henry Nowak was pronounced dead. The charges include possession of machetes, knuckledusters, flick-knives, and 37 swords in a private residence, and Gurpreet Digwa faces additional charges for possessing weapons in a public place. All three have pleaded not guilty to these charges. Their trial is scheduled for September 2027 at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
