Comedian and social media personality Elizabeth Booker Houston claims she delivered a cake with a provocative message to the Capitol Hill office of the late Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., according to posts shared online. Houston stated on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday, "I just dropped this cake off at Lindsey Graham's office. Congratudolences, Darline! Your brother is burning in hell, and now, you're working for the devil!"
The cake featured a printed photograph of Graham and was decorated with white frosting and blue icing roses. The message "CONGRATUDOLENCES!" was written across the top.
The delivery and message drew a swift and negative reaction from many online users. Some comments defended Houston's actions, with one user writing, "You’re truly doing god’s work." However, many others expressed disapproval. One commenter stated, "You really need a different hobby if you were so invested in politics that this is what you resort to." Another response read, "Get a life. I wasn’t a fan of Lindsey, but this is ridiculous. Your hatred is rotting [your] brain."
Sen. Lindsey Graham died on Saturday night at the age of 71. His office stated that an autopsy suggested the cause of death was aortic dissection due to arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease. The news surprised many in Washington, as Graham was a prominent figure and was scheduled to appear on "Meet the Press" the following morning.
His sister, Darline Graham Nordone, was sworn in on Tuesday to complete his term. Fox News Digital reached out to Graham’s office, Houston, and the United States Capitol Police for comment.
