Colin Jost and Scarlett Johansson were seen together during a date night at the Spanish tapas restaurant Bar Esteban in North London. Jost, the 44-year-old head writer for "Saturday Night Live," and Johansson, 41, dined for over three hours on Monday.
Their outing comes as Johansson is on a break from filming Matt Reeves' sequel "The Batman: Part II," which is set to move production from England to Glasgow, Scotland, for three weeks beginning next Tuesday. Johansson stars as Gilda, the wife of district attorney Harvey Dent (Sebastian Stan), in the Warner Bros. film, scheduled for release on February 18, 2028. The movie also features Robert Pattinson, Jeffrey Wright, Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, and Charles Dance.
Meanwhile, Jost is preparing for upcoming professional engagements. He is scheduled to perform stand-up comedy in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on September 11. Jost also serves as co-head writer, "Weekend Update" co-anchor, and occasional actor on "Saturday Night Live," which will premiere its 52nd season this fall. Additionally, he is set to executive produce and star in a Peacock drama series in development, portraying dentist-turned-drug lord Larry Lavin, based on the true-crime podcast "Wolves Among Us."
Personal milestones are also on the horizon for the couple, who have been married for five years. Their son, Cosmo, will celebrate his fifth birthday next Tuesday. On August 30, they will mark the 12th birthday of Johansson's daughter, Rose, from her previous marriage to Romain Dauriac.
Johansson's upcoming film roles include Hester Pearl in James Gray's mafia drama "Paper Tiger," set in 1986 and slated for limited U.S. theaters on November 13. The film, which also stars Adam Driver and Miles Teller, has already received an 82 percent critic approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes based on early festival screenings. Her other projects include Brad Bird's animated film "Ray Gunn" and an untitled "Exorcist" film directed by Mike Flanagan.
In a lighthearted moment shared on social media on July 18, an audience Q&A video from the Instagram account for "Pop Culture Jeopardy!" featured Jost explaining his pronunciation of his wife's last name. He humorously suggested that her family's Scandinavian origins likely meant the original pronunciation was "Yo-han-sson."
