Alexis Drummond has accused her estranged husband, Christopher Lee Drummond, heir to the $980 million Drummond Company coal fortune, of extensive domestic abuse. The allegations include strangulation, assault while she was pregnant, and threats with a firearm. Christopher Drummond was arrested last week on domestic violence charges but has since been released on bond.

Alexis Drummond alleges that her husband's abuse escalated over their six-year relationship. In a request for a protective order that was granted, she stated that he told her he would kill her and strangled her. She also claimed he used signal jammers to prevent her from seeking help and punched her while she was pregnant. According to court filings, she also alleged that he held a gun to the back of her head.

Christopher Drummond, 40, faces criminal charges related to alleged domestic violence, including strangulation. He has not yet entered a plea. He was booked into Jefferson County Jail on July 20 and released hours later after posting a $66,000 bond. Alexis Drummond expressed fear of him potentially going after her with a weapon after his release, leading a judge to order him to remain in Alabama.

In addition to the criminal charges, Alexis Drummond has filed a civil lawsuit against her husband. One allegation in the lawsuit details an incident during a trip to Monaco's Hotel de Paris, where she claims he violently tore an expensive necklace from her neck, spraining her wrist. This alleged assault occurred shortly after she informed him she intended to leave the marriage. Following this incident in Monaco, Christopher Drummond was arrested and subsequently sentenced to 45 days in jail. He was released on bond upon his return to the United States.

Alexis Drummond provided details and videos to the Daily Mail that she claims depict the alleged abuse. Surveillance footage from inside their $25 million mansion in Mountain Brook, Alabama, appears to show instances of abuse. In one clip, while Alexis was pregnant, Christopher allegedly warned her to "shut the f*** up, or I will do something unforgiveable" and threatened to "snap" her hand. Other footage reportedly shows him standing over her. Alexis also shared images of injuries she alleges were inflicted by her husband, including a busted lip, bruises, and blood-stained clothing.

She further alleged that her husband would film her during instances of abuse as a form of humiliation, playing the videos back to her and saying, "Look at yourself."

Christopher Drummond is the heir to the Drummond Company, a major energy producer founded in 1935. His late father, Garry Neil Drummond, was listed by Forbes as the wealthiest person in Alabama with a net worth of $980 million in 2015. The company produces millions of tons of coal annually and generates significant profits.

When contacted by phone, Christopher Drummond stated he had no comment on the allegations and complained about receiving messages from unknown phone numbers.

Alexis Drummond met her husband in Miami in 2020. She described their initial romance as whirlwind, leading to their marriage in 2023 and the birth of their son last year. Their lifestyle included private jets, designer clothing, and lavish vacations. However, she asserts that the marriage has since deteriorated due to his alleged abuse. She stated in court filings that she delayed coming forward due to fear of her husband's connections and his family's wealth, and his claims of owning judges and politicians.
