Christine McGuinness, 38, recently shared a series of empowering posts on Instagram, featuring photos of herself in a bikini. Participating in a viral social media trend, McGuinness declared, "it's kind of chic to be unavailable." She further elaborated on the sentiment, writing, "Kinda chic to reset, repair, realign as many f****** times as you need to. Kinda chic to be a mother of three, kinda chic to have boundaries. Kinda chic to say 'I'm unavailable', kinda chic to know peace is priceless."
The posts come after reports emerged that her ex-husband, Paddy McGuinness, 52, is reportedly dating his co-worker Emma Carey. The couple, who were married for 11 years, announced their separation in 2022. Photos of Paddy and Carey were published showing them enjoying a stroll and dinner in London.
Paddy and Christine have continued to live in their family home to co-parent their three children, all of whom have autism. Christine has previously described their arrangement as a "blessing," emphasizing that their priority remains the children's routines and well-being. She stated, "A lot of families that have got children with special educational needs choose to do it this way. Maybe they don't talk about it so much, but they're the ones who really get it and understand it."
Christine has been open about the challenges of divorce, calling it a "difficult and challenging" time. However, she also expressed that the amicable co-parenting setup has been fortunate. She added that while she might desire her own space eventually, the current family home is important for the children's stability. McGuinness also noted that she would be very cautious about introducing new partners to her children, emphasizing that any new relationship would take "years and years and years" before potentially being brought into the family home.
