Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky have added a championship-style tennis court and a purpose-built dirt bike track to their expansive Byron Bay property, further enhancing its luxury amenities. Property experts suggest the estate could now be valued at more than $75 million.
The new tennis court, estimated to have cost nearly $150,000 according to planning documents, joins an already extensive list of features at the Broken Head compound. The property, once described as a "Westfield-style" mega mansion due to its size, sits on a 4.2-hectare coastal landholding.
First purchased by the couple for $7 million in 2014, the estate underwent a significant multi-year renovation after the original Balinese-style residence was demolished. The sprawling home now reportedly includes six bedrooms, a 50-meter infinity pool, spa and steam room, media room, indoor gym, outdoor training areas, a games room, and a private two-lane bowling alley. The addition of the tennis court and dirt bike track adds to the recreational offerings for the family, which includes their three children.
Aerial images from late July 2026 revealed the newly constructed tennis court and the winding dirt bike track. The additions aim to elevate the property, which offers significant privacy and sweeping ocean views.
While the property has become one of Australia's most recognizable celebrity homes, recent observations noted some areas showing signs of wear, such as moss and dirt on exterior walls and rust on metal fixtures, indicative of the coastal climate. The couple reportedly relocated from Los Angeles to Byron Bay seeking a less "suffocating" environment, allowing for a calmer setting to raise their children.
