Chris Evans has sold his Hollywood Hills residence for $5.38 million, a price significantly lower than his original listing. The actor initially sought $6.99 million for the property in May 2025, but it remained on the market until November of that year. He relisted the home in June at a reduced price of $6.39 million, eventually closing the sale for approximately $1 million less than that figure.
Despite the discount, Evans secured a substantial profit on the property, which he purchased in 2013 for $3.52 million. The sale marks Evans' planned relocation to the East Coast with his wife, Portuguese actress Alba Baptista, and their daughter. Evans, who grew up in Massachusetts, stated his desire to spend more time on the East Coast.
The Hollywood Hills estate, built in 1940, spans approximately 4,600 square feet and sits on 0.76 acres. It offers views of Laurel Canyon and the Santa Monica Mountains. The property includes a four-bedroom house with an open-plan living area, a formal dining space, and a kitchen equipped with a Wolf range and marble countertops. The primary suite features a terrace, a walk-in closet, and a spa-like bathroom.
A notable feature of the property is a detached guesthouse that contains a gym where Evans trained for his role as Captain America. This guesthouse also includes an additional bedroom, a kitchen, and an office. Evans undertook renovations during his 12 years of ownership, including expanding outdoor space with a retaining wall.
The property was listed by Scott Moore of Christie’s International Real Estate Southern California. The identity of the buyer has not been disclosed.
