Children's entertainer Ms. Rachel, known for her YouTube channel "Songs for Littles," has publicly condemned the police response to a youth soccer game in Winter Park, Florida, labeling it as racist. This occurred after a 3-year-old player was removed from a 5U match due to his overwhelming dominance, leading to a confrontation between league officials and the child's parents.
However, bodycam footage obtained by OutKick appears to contradict Ms. Rachel's assertion. The footage shows a league official explaining to police that the parents, not the child's skill level, were causing a "disturbance" after the official decided to bench the young player to ensure other children had opportunities to participate. Ms. Rachel had declared on Instagram that she was "LIVID" and called the situation "racist, sick, traumatizing and disgusting."
Despite the available bodycam evidence, Ms. Rachel has not publicly retracted or clarified her statement. OutKick reports that she has not responded to requests for comment. Following the soccer incident, Ms. Rachel reportedly shifted her social media content to a video discussing an alleged incident involving ICE and a student with special needs.
The parents of the 3-year-old player, who was reportedly a prominent figure on TikTok and Instagram before the incident, have parlayed the event into a GoFundMe campaign that has raised over $46,000. According to reports, the father encouraged the child to dominate younger players, with posts from the parents highlighting the child's prolific scoring record in limited games.
Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, has a history of donating to liberal political candidates. This aspect of her public persona has drawn criticism from figures like the co-founder of Moms for Liberty, who have warned parents that Ms. Rachel is a political activist and "not Mr. Rogers."
