The children of Mathilde Favier, the public relations director at Christian Dior Couture, have shared emotional tributes following her death in a car accident. Favier, 57, died alongside her partner, film producer Nicolas Altmayer, 61, in Western France on Monday.
Heloise Agostinelli, 27, described her mother as her "entire world" and expressed profound grief on Instagram. "My life ended the day she took her last breath," Agostinelli wrote. "I'm hoping this is just a bad dream and I will wake up soon. Life is violent and unfair."
Carlo Agostinelli, 25, also shared a heartfelt message, reflecting on his mother's vibrant spirit and the lessons she imparted. "You were the incarnation of life, the definition of joy, and so much more than words could ever do justice," he wrote. "You were our superhero, and you always will be. I am strong because you taught me to be."
Carlo added that he and Heloise would support each other, continuing the legacy of love their mother fostered. "You spent your life surrounding us with love, and that love will keep us together now," he stated. "We will look after one another, just as you always looked after all of us."
Dior released a statement mourning Favier as an "exceptional woman." "In her role as Director of Public Relations, Mathilde Favier made an incredible contribution to the reputation of Christian Dior Couture through her commitment and elegance," the statement read. "She was an exceptional woman whose communicative joy, talent, and loyalty were exemplary."
Delphine Arnault, CEO of Dior, remembered Favier as a "loyal friend" and noted her "optimism and courage." "With the passing of Mathilde, Dior is losing an incredible professional, and I have lost a loyal friend," Arnault said. "Her optimism and courage commanded admiration. We will sorely miss her smile and her talent."
Favier had been with Dior for over 13 years, having previously worked at Glamour magazine and Prada. Altmayer was a producer known for his work on over 80 films.
