FC Dallas President and Chiefs co-owner Dan Hunt revealed that he did not receive an invitation to the wedding of NFL star Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift.

The ceremony took place on July 3 at Madison Square Garden, and Hunt, in a joking remark to CBS, suggested his singing ability might have been the reason for his absence. "Apparently, I don't sing well enough get invited," he said. This question has been a frequent one from media throughout the summer.

While Dan Hunt was not present, his brother, Chiefs chairman and CEO Clark Hunt, attended the wedding. "My brother was there and I talked to him and he said, ‘Look it was really special and it was really unique.’ And we were all so happy for him,” Dan Hunt shared.

Despite not being invited, Hunt expressed a desire to host the couple at an FC Dallas match in Frisco, Texas, predicting it would likely occur after Kelce's NFL career concludes. Kelce is entering his 14th year in the league, and his future has been a subject of speculation. "I'm working on it. We'll have to see. It'll probably be after Travis retiring, but they're always welcome down here. She does have a busy schedule, though. You know how it goes as a star, but a match and coming to TOCA Social would be fun," Hunt stated.

Hunt believes Kelce's personality could contribute to the atmosphere in Dallas, especially with the growing popularity of soccer in the U.S. following the FIFA World Cup. "Travis is one of the most fun individuals I've ever been around in my life," Hunt said. "I can only imagine what it would be like to have him here doing it. Maybe it'll come true. Who knows?"

Swift and Kelce have maintained a private wedding, with guests adhering to a strict no-phone policy and high security measures in place at the venue. Kelce himself described the wedding as "the best night of my life" and expressed gratitude to the attendees. The upcoming NFL season may mark the end of Kelce's career, with rumors circulating since February about his potential retirement due to his demanding offseason schedule and his popular "New Heights" podcast with his brother Jason.
