The Chicago Bears will be the subject of a new Hallmark movie titled "Holiday Touchdown: A Bears Love Story." Production for the film is scheduled to commence this summer in Chicago.

This marks the latest instance of a professional American football team being featured in a Hallmark holiday film, following similar productions for the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills. The proposed plot centers on Chandra Ditka, a driven advertising executive in Chicago who initially has little interest in football. Her father, Richard "Dick" Ditka, frequently invites her to Bears games, but her demanding career prevents her from attending.

The narrative gains momentum when Chandra meets Brad Bearman while waiting for an Italian beef sandwich, a daily ritual for her. Their shared preference for the Chicago staple quickly sparks a connection, leading to their first date. During this date, Brad suggests they attend a Bears game against the Packers, which Chandra reluctantly agrees to.

Before the game, Chandra attempts to embrace football culture with her friend Janice, trying on various team apparel. She ultimately chooses a DJ Moore jersey for the game, leading Brad to suspect she might be a casual fan. The couple travels to Soldier Field, where Chandra, preoccupied with work emails, attempts to avoid her father, who is also attending the game alone. She employs disguises, including a Bill Swerski-esque mustache, to remain unnoticed by him.

Despite the familial complications, Chandra and Brad enjoy the game. Their interaction is interrupted by a confrontation between Brad and a fan wearing a "cheesehead" hat. The tension escalates when the Bears score a go-ahead field goal in the final minute, prompting further animosity between Brad and the rival fan.

Chandra's father, returning after a restroom break, recognizes his daughter and apologizes for prioritizing a date over attending games with him. Her father reassures her, acknowledging her age and his own preference for attending games alone. Chandra suggests attending future games with him, but he reiterates his contentment with his solitary outings.

The movie concludes with Chandra and Brad continuing their relationship and attending games together, capped by a post-game deep-dish pizza outing. The story suggests the possibility of a sequel.
