Cher Lloyd has announced her split from husband Craig Monk after 13 years of marriage, with the singer hinting at moving on to "greater things." The news comes just three months after the death of her father.

Lloyd, 32, shared speculation about her marriage when she posted a photo of her ring-free hand on Instagram. Responding to a fan's question about her wedding ring, she wrote, "It’s in the bin." A friend commented on the post, "Realising the timing of me sending you my save the date….whooooops my bad. Onto greater things eh lass, love ya x." Lloyd responded with a laughing emoji and a heart.

The singer also appeared to signal her emotional state by liking several posts on social media. Among them were posts referencing "trusting her gut," "intuition," and "crying for hours."

One liked post featured words overlaid on an image of Jessica Alba, stating, "Source? My gut feeling. My intuition. Super symbolic dream. The vibe I got." Another liked video showed someone dancing with the caption, "Me after crying for two hours." A poignant video with a voiceover stating, "I'll buy you whatever you want," and a response of "No you can't," was also shared, accompanied by a caption lamenting the loss of "old-school love" where "trust came naturally, loyalty meant something, and people weren’t afraid to genuinely care for each other."

Lloyd and Monk met in 2011, got engaged the following year, and married in 2013. They have two daughters together: Delilah-Rae, seven, and Eliza Violet, two.

In April, Lloyd shared the news of her father Darren's passing at age 53. She posted a screenshot of a text message exchange with him, writing, "Life will never be the same again. I've never felt pain like this. My Dad, I love you. Goodnight 10.03.73 - 11.04.26." Her father had been hospitalized twice in 2020, and Lloyd had expressed concern for his health during the pandemic due to pre-existing conditions.

Lloyd first gained fame on The X Factor in 2010 at the age of 16. She released her debut album, "Sticks And Stones," in 2011. After parting ways with Simon Cowell's Syco Music label, she released her second album, "Sorry I'm Late," in 2014. In January 2025, she released a single titled "Head Down," which appeared to address her early career experiences in the music industry.
