Emergency services responded to a potential chemical leak at Moorways Sports Village in Allenton, Derbyshire, on Thursday afternoon, leading to the evacuation of the facility and the hospitalization of 15 people.

Paramedics treated individuals for breathing difficulties, with 15 taken to Royal Derby Hospital. The incident occurred at approximately 1:38 p.m. when emergency services were called to the scene. A mother present at the time reported experiencing a headache and a dry throat, with others in the changing rooms coughing.

As a precautionary measure, the leisure centre was evacuated. Osmaston Park Road was closed near Moor Lane. The venue stated it would provide further updates later.
