Chelsea Freeman, wife of Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman, is recovering after experiencing a sudden health scare earlier this month that led to a hospital visit.

Freeman shared an image of herself in a hospital bed with an IV drip, later explaining that she awoke with sharp chest and back pain, initially fearing a heart attack. Medical professionals suspected she may have had pericarditis, an inflammation of the sac surrounding the heart, or myocarditis, inflammation of the heart muscle.

She expressed gratitude for the care she received from EMTs, nurses, doctors, and her family. "A good reminder that that health really is everything and if something feels off, getting checked out is always the right choice," she wrote.

While Freddie Freeman was on a road trip with the Dodgers at the time of the incident, Chelsea has since been recovering and posted photos from Malibu. In a recent post, she shared a picture of herself in a white dress, captioned "Golden hour in Malibu."
