A reporter for Channel Seven News, Saavannah Bourke, has gained significant online attention for her muscular biceps, displayed during a recent live broadcast. The footage, shared widely on TikTok, has led to an outpouring of admiration and requests for her fitness regimen.
Personal trainer Aaron Cooper was among those who highlighted Bourke's physique, sharing a video on TikTok that questioned her gym routine. "I say this with the most utmost respect of course, but WTF are you doing in the gym to grow shoulders and arms like that?" Cooper asked in the clip, suggesting Bourke's build was so impressive she should consider a career in fitness coaching. His sentiment was echoed by many of his followers, who described Bourke as an "absolute weapon" and praised her arms.
What was not immediately apparent to many online observers is that Bourke herself is a qualified fitness coach. Alongside her journalism career, she has been a dedicated bodybuilder since 2017, competing in various fitness competitions. Earlier this year, she leveraged her passion and expertise by launching an online fitness coaching platform named Saavfit.
Bourke announced the launch of Saavfit on Instagram, stating her intention to assist individuals struggling with motivation to find enjoyable forms of exercise, aiming to transform training into a lifestyle rather than a chore. "This is something I have wanted to do for a long time but was always too scared to take the leap," she wrote on the platform.
Prior to her current role at Seven News in Brisbane, Bourke worked as a reporter for Channel Seven on the Sunshine Coast. Her earlier journalism experience includes nearly three years with Nine News in Townsville and Rockhampton.
