Mabel Lowe, 17, has shared a poignant tribute to her late sister, Fiona, who died by suicide at the age of 13. The daughter of actor Chad Lowe and Kim Painter, Fiona's death was announced last week, with the Los Angeles county medical examiner subsequently confirming the cause as suicide.
Fiona was remembered by her parents as "a loving young girl who was smart, creative and loved to dance." They added that she "was adored by her sisters and she was deeply loved by her parents. In fact, she was the light of our lives," calling her passing "devastating."
Mabel's tribute on Instagram included a carousel of photos of herself and Fiona. "I love you so much fiona ❤️ i wish your short time here was easier and i hope your mind is at peace now," Mabel wrote. "I will honor you forever and keep your memory alive. I love you, i hope you knew just how much."
Chad Lowe, the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, and Painter are also parents to Nixie, 10. Lowe had previously celebrated Fiona's 13th birthday in November, posting, "Keep dancing through life FiBear! Love you soooo much!!"
