Country music star Carly Pearce has revealed that she once consumed too much alcohol before a concert, to the point where she believed the show should have been canceled.
During an appearance on Entertainment Tonight, Pearce discussed an incident from her 29 Tour in late 2021. "I over-served myself, and I was like, 'Uh oh, this is not good.' But I made it," she confessed.
Pearce also shared an anecdote about a date where her companion became excessively intoxicated. She recounted having to drive the man home, and he then feigned a phone call to avoid a kiss, a moment Pearce observed through his phone's lock screen, which showed no active call.
"Just tell me you don’t want to kiss me. I don’t want to kiss you either," she said regarding the incident.
Pearce is currently in a relationship with entrepreneur Jordan Karcher, whom she publicly announced last year. Karcher is the founder and CEO of the retail app Eileen and the coffee company Grounds & Hounds Coffee Co.
Previously, Pearce was married to country singer Michael Ray. Their marriage ended in divorce after eight months. She has described the divorce as "awful," "embarrassing," and "shameful," expressing feelings of failure and concern about finding love again due to the young age at which the divorce occurred.
Ray later dated reality television personality Audrina Patridge for approximately two years before their relationship concluded in May.
Pearce, a native of Kentucky, debuted in 2017 with her first single, "Every Little Thing," which reached the top five on the Billboard country chart. Her most successful song to date is the 2019 duet "I Hope You're Happy Now" with Lee Brice.
Her fifth studio album, "Honest Woman," was recently released. While it has not yet charted significantly on the Billboard charts, it achieved success in the United Kingdom, reaching No. 3 on the official UK Country Chart.
