Actress Candice Bergen has shared details about past dates with both Donald Trump and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Bergen discussed the encounters during an episode of Ted Danson's "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" podcast.

Bergen recalled a "very short date" with Trump when she was a student at the University of Pennsylvania. She described him arriving for the date in a maroon limousine, wearing a matching suit, vest, and patent leather boots. Bergen, who is about six months older than Trump, was around 18 at the time.

She had previously mentioned the date in a 2018 appearance on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," stating that Trump had called her in her dorm. At the time, she found him to be "a nice-looking guy."

Trump himself recalled the date in comments to the Boston Globe, saying Bergen "was so beautiful" and that he "did make the move," but she "had the good sense to say, ‘Absolutely not.’"

Bergen also spoke about a date with Henry Kissinger, whom she met through her parents. She described Kissinger as "lovely company," "smart, beyond smart," and possessing "great manners."

When recounting both dates on "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" in 2018, Bergen admitted that Kissinger had been the "better" date.
