A Canadian national identified as Kaitlyn Tracey, 33, has been taken into U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) custody following an alleged assault on a teenager at the Jersey Shore over the Fourth of July weekend. The incident, reportedly stemming from the teenager wearing pro-Trump attire, was captured on video.

The video circulating online appears to show a woman in dark clothing confronting a younger female wearing a "USA 250" tank top. The woman in the video is seen swinging at the teenager twice before a man intervenes and escorts her away.

Tracey surrendered to police on July 13, a few days after she was charged. The charges include endangering the welfare of a child, simple assault, harassment, and obstruction. Authorities stated that Tracey entered the United States with a passport in 2026 but subsequently overstayed her visa, potentially making her eligible for deportation.

Following her arrest and processing, Tracey was initially held at Ocean County Jail before being transferred to Delaney Hall in Newark, an immigration detention facility. The incident occurred on July 3.
