A live broadcast of the "Today" show, hosted by Jenna Bush Hager and Sheinelle Jones, was briefly derailed Friday morning due to an "unfortunate accident" involving a cameraman.
During their "Today with Jenna & Sheinelle" segment, a muted clang and a wobble of the camera were heard as the hosts walked into frame. Jones, 48, let out a small laugh, and Bush Hager, 44, turned to the side to ask, "Are you okay over there?"
A voice from off-camera confirmed the cameraman was alright, after which Bush Hager explained to viewers that their coworker had run into a chair while walking backward, causing the incident. The camera then panned to an overturned stool.
"The good news is, if you go back, I think our shot was pretty steady," Bush Hager remarked. The hosts and crew applauded the cameraman when he appeared on screen, with Bush Hager noting his ability to keep the camera steady despite the fall. Jones added, "No one missed a beat."
Bush Hager assured viewers that the cameraman was "fine" and that the incident highlighted the hard work of the show's crew. The segment then resumed with its planned introduction of upcoming segments.
