A California father has died from injuries sustained in a plane crash that claimed the lives of his wife and two sons, leaving their two eldest children orphaned. Craig Eady, 44, of Auberry, passed away in the hospital on Monday.
His wife, Danna Eady, 41, and their sons Pavel, 10, and Remus, 13, died over the weekend when the aircraft went down near Fresno. The crash has left their two oldest children, Lucien, 17, and Felicity, 18, without parents.
The single-engine, fixed-wing aircraft crashed on Saturday afternoon near the Sierra Sky Park airport, close to the San Joaquin River. Emergency crews responded to the scene, finding wreckage on a bluff near the river and a fire spreading across a nearby hillside.
First responders, including sheriff’s deputies, firefighters, and police officers, arrived to a scene of wreckage and flames. The incident occurred on the 7300 block of North Blythe Avenue.
