A father of three was abducted from his home and subsequently killed by his employer in a scheme that concluded with a police shootout, according to San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department officials. The incident occurred Wednesday night in Chino Hills, California.

Shukur Aikebaer, 60, was reportedly inspecting his home's electrical panel due to a power outage when he was allegedly taken by Zhengfeng Bo, 67, and Jianquan Bo, 66. Authorities claim the two men bundled Aikebaer into a vehicle and fled the scene.

Deputies pursued the vehicle for approximately two miles. Home surveillance footage, as reported by the Daily Mail, captured the moment Jianquan Bo exited the car, approached the trunk with his hands raised, opened it, and fatally shot Aikebaer. Following this, deputies opened fire on Jianquan Bo. Both Aikebaer and Jianquan Bo were pronounced dead at the scene. Zhengfeng Bo was taken into custody.

Officials stated that Aikebaer and Zhengfeng Bo knew each other and that Zhengfeng Bo was Aikebaer's employer. Business records indicate both men were associated with Panshi, a real estate investment firm based at Zhengfeng Bo's home in Irvine. The two are also linked to another company that is currently involved in lawsuits.

One lawsuit, filed earlier this week, concerns a $20 million apartment complex in Pasadena. Zhengfeng Bo's attorney told ABC7 that the lawsuit involves former managers of the complex who allegedly prevented his client from taking control. While Aikebaer was not named in the lawsuit, the attorney described him as a 'middleman' who may have introduced Zhengfeng Bo to the party involved in the dispute.

Investigators have searched Zhengfeng Bo's Irvine residence, where Jianquan Bo also reportedly lived.

One of Aikebaer's daughters described her father as "the greatest father ever" and "a blessing to have around." A GoFundMe campaign has been established to assist his family with funeral expenses and to support them as the sole provider. A message on the fundraiser states the family endured "an unimaginable tragedy" and seeks community support to help them grieve and honor his memory.
