Bunnie Xo has addressed claims made by her former stepdaughter, Bailee Ann, regarding the divorce from Jelly Roll. Bailee Ann, 18, had suggested on TikTok that the public did not know the full story behind the split and that "the internet is about to crumble" when the truth emerged. In response, Bunnie Xo stated via TikTok, "Nothing to clear up. She didn’t say anything lol [people] just wanna run [with] a narrative 💞." She also affirmed her enduring affection for Bailee Ann, saying, "Love my baby forever."
Bailee Ann initially alluded to the situation in a series of social media posts over the weekend. She addressed those criticizing her father, saying, "Don’t y’all ever come for my father’s name like that again. I’m so done." She further elaborated, "Y’all have no f–king idea what happened, and wait till y’all find out. Just f–king wait. Because I promise y’all, the view of what y’all have of not only the situation, but their relationship … The internet in totality is about to f–king crumble the day that I open my mouth."
She emphasized that the issue was not a difference of opinions and that only those directly involved truly understood the circumstances. Bailee Ann had previously spoken about the divorce, expressing disgust at fan reactions and asking for "compassion" amidst "hate."
Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo filed for divorce in May, listing May 9 as their date of separation. By the time Bunnie Xo publicly commented, their divorce had been settled. The couple, who married in August 2016, are still planning to have a child together through in vitro fertilization, according to their marital dissolution agreement. This decision was made despite a warning from their lawyers to "obtain independent advice from qualified expert counsel in genetics and reproductive law."
Jelly Roll, born Jason DeFord, has two children from previous relationships: Bailee Ann and a younger son, Noah Buddy. He and Bunnie Xo, born Bunnie Houma, renewed their wedding vows in Las Vegas in 2023, seven years after their initial marriage.
