Bryan Kohberger, convicted of the murders of four University of Idaho students, is seeking to have the judge removed from his case and to withdraw his guilty plea, claiming he received ineffective legal counsel. The motions were filed Thursday by his new court-appointed attorney, Gregory Rauch.

Kohberger has maintained his innocence since his conviction and alleges that his previous defense team coerced him into a false confession. The legal team's filing also includes a request for a change of venue.

Dr. Kris Mohandie, a forensic psychologist, previously suggested that Kohberger might attempt to appeal his guilty plea and commented on his "narcissism" in relation to his legal actions.
