Brooks Laich, former NHL player and ex-husband of Julianne Hough, married Icelandic athlete Katrin Davidsdottir over the weekend in a romantic ceremony at their lakeside residence in Idaho. The couple, who became engaged in 2024, exchanged vows on August 15 in front of more than 100 guests.

Laich, 38, described the marriage as a "dream come true for both of us" in comments to People. Their 10-month-old daughter, Emberly, was present and walked down the aisle with her father. The couple's husky, Koda, also participated in the ceremony, wearing a tuxedo.

The wedding festivities spanned a weekend, commencing with an intimate ceremony overlooking Lake Coeur d'Alene. Guests enjoyed a cocktail hour followed by dinner, with huckleberry crisp served for dessert instead of a traditional cake. A dance floor was set up on the property for the evening. The celebration concluded the following morning with a 1950s-themed beach brunch.

Davidsdottir wore a sleeveless white gown with a full skirt and buttons down the back, complemented by a sheer veil. Laich donned a classic black tuxedo with a white dress shirt and black bowtie.

Laich and Davidsdottir announced their engagement in December 2024, three years after making their relationship public on Instagram. Hough, who was married to Laich from 2017 until their divorce was finalized in 2022, publicly congratulated the couple on their engagement. "Congratulations. I'm so happy for you both as you step into this beautiful new chapter together. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and endless adventures!" Hough commented on their announcement. Laich responded, "thank you for the kind words, much love Jules!"

Hough and Laich first met in 2013 and began dating the following year. They announced their engagement in 2015 and married in July 2017 in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Their separation was announced in May 2020, with a joint statement noting they had "lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate." Hough filed for divorce later that year, and a divorce agreement was reached in 2022.

Hough has spoken about seeing her ex-husband and Davidsdottir together at a mutual friend's wedding, describing the experience as "beautiful" and reflecting on her own personal growth and newfound compassion. She has also discussed her current approach to dating, which she described as more playful and less serious. "Sometimes, when you're intentional, you can get a little bit tunnel vision, and so, I kind of was like, 'You know what? I'm just gonna be playful and fun,'" Hough told E! News last year, adding that she is looking for "someone super hot."
