San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy has detailed a new intentional approach to his family life and public presence, embracing more openness about his personal life with his wife, Jenna, as the NFL season commences. Purdy, who typically maintains a low profile on social media, has recently engaged more actively, alongside his wife, to share significant family updates, including the announcement of their second child.
"I think it is cool to be able to show everybody who we are [on social media]," Purdy told NBC Sports Bay Area. "And people are interested, and so we’re not trying to be so sheltered with how we live. There’s definitely a balance with that. But we’re learning as we go."
Despite the public nature of his career, Purdy emphasized the need to preserve a sense of normalcy off the field. He highlighted the value he places on everyday family activities, such as going for walks and visiting the grocery store.
"We love and crave those things," Purdy said of his daily family duties. "I’m so blessed to have an amazing wife who understands what I do for a living, but also what’s important to our life and what we’re trying to get out of this life with loving each other, loving our family and our babies. Those are our priority, for sure. But then within that, I do have a job. I do have a lot of responsibility as the 49ers starting quarterback."
Purdy's focus now shifts to his role with the 49ers, with the team preparing for their upcoming game against the Rams.
