Tyler Griffith, 25, married Cameron Griffith, 24, in May, spending a total of $1,700 on their wedding ceremony. The couple agreed to keep their expenses to a minimum, with Tyler purchasing her wedding dress for just $15 from the online marketplace Vinted.

Griffith stated that she had never planned to buy from a bridal boutique, finding them too expensive and outside of her price range. She discovered her mermaid-style gown on Vinted after looking at similar, more costly options online. Despite initial concerns about the quality, she was pleased with the dress when it arrived.

"On my wedding day, I felt the most beautiful I've ever felt in my life," Griffith said. "My first reaction when I saw it and tried it on was 'wow.' I was so shocked and surprised by the quality and how beautiful it looked."

Her guests were reportedly surprised to learn the cost of her dress, which she said helped her save "hundreds, if not thousands, of pounds." The dress required minimal alterations; Griffith removed some frilled straps to suit her preference.

The couple, who met online through a mutual friend while in college, had a navy blue color scheme for their wedding, which took place in their local church. Cameron proposed to Tyler in July of the previous year at Red Wharf Bay, a beach significant to Tyler.

Griffith advised other brides seeking a dress to consider online purchases, especially if they have a specific style in mind, noting the option to resell or return items. "For me, it was about the day more than anything else," she added. "It definitely did allow us to spend more elsewhere."

The majority of the couple's wedding items were sourced from online retailers like Shein and Vinted, contributing to their overall budget-friendly approach to the celebration.
