Milwaukee Brewers manager Pat Murphy directed a profane insult at the New York Yankees minutes after his team secured its first-ever World Series title on Wednesday night. The Brewers defeated the Tampa Bay Rays 4-1 in the series to clinch the championship.

During the on-field celebrations, first baseman Jake Bauers, who was named MVP of the National League Championship Series, handed Murphy the final out ball. In a viral clip, Murphy then told Bauers, "You're going to be a rich fer. Just remember when you're on that horsesh Yankees team and you guys are all playing for yourselves, just remember: this is the way we used to do it."

Bauers, who is headed to free agency, responded with a laugh, "You ain't getting rid of me that easy!"

The Yankees experienced playoff disappointment this season, losing to the Rays and extending their championship drought to 17 years. For the Brewers, the victory capped a dominant postseason run, finishing with an 11-2 record.

Bauers was a key player for the Brewers and is expected to be a sought-after free agent. He expressed pride in the team's unified approach throughout the season. "One through nine. Throughout the entire season, the way they executed, it was f***ing exciting," Bauers said.

Milwaukee fans have waited for a championship since the franchise's inception as the Seattle Pilots in 1969, relocating to Milwaukee in 1970. Thousands of fans traveled from Wisconsin to Florida to witness the historic moment.
