The global premiere of Brad Pitt's upcoming survival thriller, "Heart of the Beast," is set to take place at Tennessee's FirstBank Amphitheater on Sept. 16. The decision marks a departure from typical Hollywood premieres, with the actor himself reportedly lobbying for the event to be held away from Los Angeles and New York.
The film, directed by David Ayer, features Pitt as a Special Forces officer stranded in the Alaskan wilderness with his combat dog, Odin, battling for survival. J. K. Simmons and Anna Lambe also star in the movie.
Pitt, Ayer, and producers Marty Bowen and Olivia Hamilton are expected to attend the premiere at the FirstBank Amphitheater, located in Franklin, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. Sources suggest that the choice of location was influenced by the film's target audience, which is believed to be concentrated in the middle of the country.
The choice of Tennessee for the premiere comes amid discussions about Paramount Skydance potentially relocating its operations to Nashville or Austin. However, the premiere's location is understood to be Pitt's personal request and not directly linked to the company's business considerations. Paramount global publicity EVP David Waldron's team selected the FirstBank Amphitheater based on Pitt's request for an outdoor event away from major coastal cities.
"Heart of the Beast" had a special screening in the United Kingdom on Tuesday. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on Sept. 25.
