Brad Pitt Recounts 'Amazing Night' at Swift-Kelce Wedding
The actor described the star-studded event as 'the wedding of the century' and shared a humorous anecdote about briefly losing his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, in the crowd.
Actor Brad Pitt described the July wedding of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce as "the wedding of the century," recounting a "thoughtful and well-planned" event where he and his girlfriend, Ines de Ramon, partied for approximately 10 to 12 hours.
Pitt, 62, and de Ramon, 33, were among the 1,000 guests at the ceremony held at Madison Square Garden. The actor told Entertainment Tonight that the reception was "great fun," but acknowledged a moment of mild panic when he briefly lost track of de Ramon on the dance floor. "At one point I lost her in the melee on the dance floor," Pitt said with a laugh, attributing the temporary separation to a stringent no-phone policy implemented by the newlyweds.
Pitt made these remarks at the premiere of his film "Heart of the Beast." He and de Ramon had recently made their Instagram debut as a couple, sharing images of their attire from the Swift-Kelce nuptials. One particular photo, showing Pitt embracing de Ramon from behind, drew commentary from fans online, with some interpreting her posture as strained.
Swift and Kelce's wedding featured performances by notable artists such as Stevie Nicks, Paul McCartney, and Swift herself. The event drew a large number of celebrities, including Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Selena Gomez, Lena Dunham, Hugh Grant, Steven Spielberg, Jay-Z, Beyonce, Tom Brady, Jessica Chastain, Ed Sheeran, and Chris Rock, among others.
The festivities reportedly included a fairytale castle inspired by Swift's "Love Story" music video erected inside Madison Square Garden. The event also caused significant traffic disruptions in Manhattan as attendees arrived and departed.
In a separate interview last month, Pitt revealed that he had resumed drinking after maintaining seven years of sobriety. He told Esquire that he had "gotten back off the wagon" but in a more restrained manner, noting that he had to be mindful of the quantity. Pitt had previously given up alcohol following his divorce from Angelina Jolie in 2016. The FBI investigated allegations of an altercation between Pitt and their son Maddox on a private plane, but the investigation concluded without charges. Jolie later submitted court documents in 2022 alleging Pitt had poured beer on her and red wine on their children during the 2016 flight, claims which a source close to Pitt dismissed as a "media stunt."
