Brad Pitt made a public appearance at the San Sebastian Film Festival in Spain, stepping out in a casual ensemble that included a backwards baseball cap and a khaki jacket. The 62-year-old actor arrived in the city to promote his new survival thriller, "Heart Of The Beast."
The film's synopsis describes a former special forces soldier who, after surviving a plane crash, must battle the elements and wildlife in the Alaskan wilderness with his combat dog.
Pitt's appearance followed an exclusive report detailing comments from friends who suggested his marriage to Angelina Jolie sent his life "spiraling." A source close to Pitt stated, "He never had a drink problem, he had an Angelina problem. He's worked hard on himself and he's now, finally, in a really good place."
Pitt and Jolie separated in September 2016, after two years of marriage. Recently, Jolie has expressed a desire to travel more extensively and live a nomadic lifestyle, noting that her youngest children have turned 18. She is planning to expand her Atelier Jolie creative house globally and engage in more "hands-on work" with her Maddox Foundation in Cambodia, focusing on community development and conservation.
Several of Pitt and Jolie's children have taken steps to change their last name to Jolie. Maddox, Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne have filed legal name changes, while Knox and Pax have not. Pitt has been publicly associated with his girlfriend of nearly four years, Ines de Ramon, 33.
