Brad Pitt and Ines de Ramon Appear Together Amid Reports of Maddox Jolie-Pitt Dropping His Last Name
The actor and his girlfriend attended the premiere of "Heart of the Beast" in Tennessee, shortly after news emerged of his son Maddox legally dropping the "Pitt" surname.
Brad Pitt and his girlfriend Ines de Ramon presented an affectionate front at the world premiere of Pitt's new film, "Heart of the Beast," held Wednesday night at the FirstBank Amphitheater in Franklin, Tennessee.
Pitt, 62, and Ramon, 33, held hands on the red carpet. The actor, who portrays a former Special Forces officer in the film, embraced the military theme with a camouflage suit and an olive-green T-shirt, complemented by a dog tag-style pendant and lightly tinted aviator glasses. Ramon contrasted his ensemble with a pale-pink tiered dress.
The couple, who were first linked in late 2022 and reportedly moved in together in early 2024, appeared inseparable at the event.
This public appearance followed closely on the heels of reports that Pitt's 25-year-old son, Maddox, has legally dropped the surname "Pitt." A Los Angeles judge granted the name change on Monday, making his legal name Maddox Chivan Jolie. This move by Maddox comes after his younger sibling Shiloh, 20, legally dropped "Pitt" from her name earlier this year. Zahara, 21, has also filed for a name change, with hearings scheduled, and fraternal twins Vivienne and Knox, 18, have informally stopped using their father's surname, with plans to legalize the change.
Maddox and Zahara had previously published legal notices in the Los Angeles Daily Journal declaring their intent to drop their father's last name. Shiloh's attorney stated that her decision was independent and followed "painful events."
Sources have indicated that Pitt's relationships with his adult children remain strained, with limited contact. His engagement with his younger children is also reportedly more limited due to his filming schedule.
Pitt's divorce from Angelina Jolie was finalized in December 2024, eight years after their split. The former couple remains involved in a legal dispute over their shared French winery, Château Miraval.
In "Heart of the Beast," Pitt stars as retired Special Forces officer James Belmont, who must fight for survival in the remote Alaskan wilderness after his plane crashes, accompanied only by his retired combat dog, Odin.
