Bobby Norris, known for his role on The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), has revealed he is back in hospital following a series of facial surgeries. Norris, 39, posted an image of himself wearing an oxygen mask and a hospital gown, expressing gratitude towards the National Health Service (NHS).
"God Bless the NHS.. I feel like the NHS get a rough ride of it sometimes, but the work and jobs they do is truly amazing. Thank you.." Norris wrote on Thursday. The reason for his current hospitalization was not disclosed.
Fans and former co-stars expressed concern and wished him well in the comments section of his post. Georgia Kousoulou, a former TOWIE castmate, wrote, "Hope your ok bub ❤️", while fans added messages such as, "Are you in the hospital again? Speedy recovery, my dear" and "hope you're ok @bobbycnorris sending love and hugs."
This is not the first time Norris has been hospitalized following cosmetic procedures. In March, he underwent a facelift, neck lift, and lower blepharoplasty.
Earlier this year, Norris disclosed on The Vanessa Feltz Show that he had spent over £50,000 on cosmetic fillers before deciding to have surgery. He explained that he had been “abusing fillers” for a decade and that the procedures were necessary to address the effects.
"I think the penny is slowly dropping that I'm really open," Norris told Feltz. "I think to be on a reality show for 10 years, for 15 years, do various reality shows and social media, it's an open book. I'm not gonna put the genie back in the bottle. And I think for people who follow and watch on social media and TV and stuff, I think it's important to be honest. I've documented the whole thing."
When asked about the extent of the work he had done, Norris stated that his nose, teeth, hairline, beard, face, cheeks, and neck had all been altered, with the exception of his eyes. He acknowledged that he is only 39 years old and that his previous appearance was desirable, but he felt a change was needed due to the cumulative effects of filler use.
"Now I didn't go get it to make me look 16, but I've been on TOWIE for 10 years, and in the industry I abused fillers, I'd stretch my cheeks out, my lips out. Now, if you're quite subtle with them, you can have them removed," he explained.
