Todd Graves, the founder of the fast-food chain Raising Cane's, recently hosted extravagant parties in New York City and Los Angeles to celebrate the World Cup, with expenditures estimated to be as high as $100 million. The self-made billionaire, who is also a neighbor to Leonardo DiCaprio in the Hollywood Hills, flew in numerous celebrities for the multi-day events.
The festivities in New York began with a party at Scott Sartiano's Zero Bond, followed by Graves renting out the Mercer Hotel for guests. For the World Cup final at MetLife Stadium, Graves secured four separate suites and provided guests with a police escort for transportation. Attendees at the New York events included Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Danny McBride, Joe Burrow, Kevin Durant, Casey Affleck, Mick Jagger, Anna Kendrick, Austin Butler, Benecio del Toro, Chris Pine, Christina Aguilera, Florence Pugh, Odessa A’zion, Paul Wesley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Tate McRae, Vin Diesel, and Woody Harrelson.
Following the match, a private dinner was held at Chez Margaux, which Graves also bought out, concluding with an after-party at Tao Group's Crane Club. During the dinner, DiCaprio reportedly arranged for a band and his friend Nat Myers to perform for the intimate gathering, which included Mick Jagger, Martin Scorsese, and Robert De Niro.
In Los Angeles, Graves hosted a pre-party at Lumiere at the Fairmont for guests such as Ashton Kutcher, Jessica Alba, Joey King, Gabrielle Union, Dwayne Wade, Dave Franco, Allison Brie, and Barbara Palvin. An after-party at Snoop Dogg's Compound featured a performance by the rapper and food from Raising Cane's.
This is not the first time Graves has hosted high-profile events. Earlier in the year, he organized Super Bowl parties in San Francisco, which included renting out and redesigning the Proper Hotel for guests. Attendees at those events included Alix Earle, Jessica Alba, Emma Roberts, Machine Gun Kelly, Cardi B, and Logan Paul, with Jamie Foxx, Orlando Bloom, and Kevin Costner also present in his custom Super Bowl suites.
Graves, who is worth an estimated $22 billion, has become a prominent figure in Hollywood's social scene. He previously attended the Oscars as DiCaprio's date and purchased the mansion next door to DiCaprio's for $23 million. His career path, from working long hours at oil refineries in Southern California to becoming a successful restaurateur, has been noted by publications. He also made an appearance on the television show "Shark Tank."
