Beth Stern expressed her enthusiasm for her husband Howard Stern's recent deal with HBO Max, describing it as a "win-win" situation. Speaking to the Daily Mail, she highlighted the personal benefits of the move, stating it allows her husband to reduce his workload to one day a week, resulting in more time spent at home.

"It's actually great for me because he’s now only going to start working one day a week," Beth Stern told the publication. "So I get more Howard at home. And he gets to still be connected to the world. So it’s a win-win for all of us."

SiriusXM confirmed the partnership on August 31, announcing that the "Howard Stern Show" would be available to stream on HBO Max for the first time. The show is set to return for a new season on September 14, with episodes becoming available on HBO Max starting September 17. New episodes will be released each Thursday.

The adaptation of Stern's live SiriusXM show into a streamable episode for HBO Max, along with additional periodic extras, marks a significant step into "prestige television," according to a SiriusXM press release. Stern, 77, finalized the agreement last month.

Sources indicated that Stern's commitment to a live show solely on Mondays is a strict schedule designed to facilitate the use of the show's video content for HBO Max. This new arrangement follows a period of adjustments for the show, including the discontinuation of the Howard 101 SiriusXM channel and the layoff of approximately a dozen staff members earlier in the summer, coinciding with the shift to a single weekly show.

Howard Stern's SiriusXM channel, Howard 101, was reassigned to Andy Cohen, with Cohen's show moving to channel 102. Stern had previously signed a three-year contract with SiriusXM in December 2025, which he stated would provide him with "flexibility," allowing for "more free time and continuing to be on the radio."

His prior five-year contract with SiriusXM was reportedly valued at $500 million. Beth Stern also confirmed that the couple plans to continue living primarily in the Hamptons full-time, attributing this decision to her husband's more accommodating new schedule.
