Gael Cameron, the ex-partner of Below Deck star Nathan Gallagher, has broken her silence following his conviction for domestic violence assault and his subsequent flight from Australia. Gallagher, who was convicted of choking and assaulting Cameron while their infant son was present, remains on the run after failing to appear for his court hearing. Cameron, the mother of Gallagher's child, stated on Instagram that she is "quietly healing and rebuilding" for herself and their son.
Gallagher and Cameron met while filming Below Deck Mediterranean and continued to appear in subsequent seasons, including scenes featuring their child, Kayden, born in June 2025. US television network Bravo has confirmed Gallagher has been dropped from the series.
Public reaction on social media has called for Bravo to remove episodes featuring Gallagher. Online discussions have also resurfaced past comments Gallagher made on social media following the Bondi Beach massacre in December 2025. At the time, Gallagher posted a statement criticizing Muslims, which he later defended as an emotional response directed at terrorists and criminals.
According to NSW Police facts, Gallagher's assault on Cameron occurred on Boxing Day of the previous year at their Sydney apartment. The charges against him include assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault, and intentionally choking a person without consent. Prosecutors informed the court that Gallagher had left the country before his hearing, leading the judge to issue an arrest warrant. He is also reportedly sought by Irish police for a separate alleged assault in 2022.
Cameron, who has a background in fashion and design and won the 2018 Pageant of the World, expressed gratitude for the support she has received.
