BBC Radio 1 is implementing a significant schedule shake-up, with several presenters departing the station. Among those leaving are Dean McCullough and Melvin Odoom.

McCullough, who hosted the Early Breakfast show for six years, announced his departure, citing it as a "hard decision" and a feeling that "it is time for a change." He thanked listeners for their support. Danny Mylo and Rosie Madison will take over the Early Breakfast slot.

Charlie Marlowe will be taking over from O'Leary to co-host the Friday to Sunday 10:30 to 13:00 slot alongside Vicky Hawkesworth. Marlowe, who previously hosted the Early Breakfast show last summer, expressed her excitement about joining the Radio 1 family and aiming to "captivate your ears." Jeremiah Asiamah will join Charlie Hedges in the Live Lounge segment.

Content creator GK Barry is set to present a series of shows throughout the year, beginning in September. She described the upcoming shows as featuring "favourite songs," "exciting guests," and promising "humour, chaos and embarrassing stories."
