Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese revealed his strong admiration for pop singer Kylie Minogue during an appearance on Nova's Bush Deep podcast. In a segment where he was asked to play a game of 'shag, marry, or date' with Minogue, Nicole Kidman, and Rhonda Burchmore, Albanese opted for Minogue across all categories.
When prompted by comedian Nikki Osborne about his choices, Albanese, who recently married Jodie Haydon, initially hesitated. "I've just got married, I'm only six months in..." he said. However, when pressed with the hypothetical scenario of his marriage ending, Albanese responded, "Kylie, clearly." He further elaborated, "All of the above. She's terrific."

The podcast episode took place at The Lodge in Canberra. Albanese, 63, is a vocal fan of Minogue, 58.
The admiration for Minogue extends beyond the Australian Prime Minister. Pop superstar Madonna also shared her long-standing affection for the singer. During a discussion about her upcoming album, Confessions II, with Graham Norton, Madonna recalled wearing a T-shirt adorned with Minogue's name in rhinestones at the 2000 MTV Europe Music Awards.

Madonna explained that at the time, she was in a creative phase of adding rhinestones to everything and thought of singers she admired. "Naturally, I thought of Kylie and had a T-shirt made of her," she said.
Minogue, who was present for part of Madonna's interview, recounted her reaction to seeing the T-shirt. She stated there was "no warning" before Madonna's display at the awards show in Stockholm, Sweden. "I don't know what I did, probably just stopped shy of fainting," Minogue recalled, describing the moment as "amazing."

Madonna also confessed to Minogue that she had once felt "jealous" of her, believing her ex-husband had a crush on the "Padam Padam" singer. "I was actually a little bit jealous of you," Madonna told Minogue. "Because she was so cute. I think my ex-husband at the time had a crush on her. I was like, 'I'll never be as beautiful as Kylie.'"
