Arie Luyendyk Jr., the 44-year-old star of "The Bachelor," recently underwent his second vasectomy, a procedure he previously had reversed. The decision comes after the birth of his fourth child with wife Lauren Burnham Luyendyk. He shared his experience on social media, detailing his visit to the doctor's office on a Friday.

Luyendyk posted on his Instagram Story, "Today's a good day to get a vasectomy. Hope laughing gas is FUN!" Following the procedure, he shared a selfie wearing a t-shirt that read "All Juice, No Seed." He captioned the photo, "Did it, got the shirt."

The couple welcomed their fourth child, daughter Livvy, in September 2025. This followed an earlier decision in February 2025 where Luyendyk had a vasectomy reversed, expressing regret over the initial procedure. The couple's other children include daughter Alessi, aged seven, and five-year-old twins Senna and Lux. Luyendyk and Burnham met in 2018 during season 22 of "The Bachelor" and married the following year.

Before his appointment, Luyendyk explained in a video that he opted for the procedure alone this time, noting that his wife's presence during his first vasectomy reversal had felt "a little weird." He stated, "The first time was a little traumatic, and Lauren being there felt a little weird. The second time when I got the reversal, I was out cold. Now this time, I've gone to a new doctor who does laughing gas, so I'm hoping this goes a little smoother."

His wife, Lauren Burnham Luyendyk, also marked the occasion. She prepared a gift basket with vasectomy-themed jokes and shared her preparations on Instagram, celebrating the "end of an era (again)." She later posted footage of welcoming him home and presenting him with the basket, which included frozen peas for his recovery.

Luyendyk had previously discussed his feelings about his vasectomy in a YouTube video uploaded in February of the previous year. He admitted to feeling that he had "rushed" into the initial vasectomy after the birth of their twins. "We said we were done having kids, like, a couple years ago, but I think we're gonna do it one more time," he had said, adding that the decision was primarily his.

Burnham had also revealed that Luyendyk scheduled his first vasectomy six months after their twins were born without consulting her. She eventually agreed to the decision at the time. Luyendyk explained his reasoning for wanting another child, stating, "All of our kids are like, the best age right now, and I just felt like, 'Dang it, I think we can do this again.' If we had a singleton, we could totally handle that."
