Ariana Biermann's romantic life is evolving on the set of "Next Gen NYC," as a source exclusively revealed to Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" that she "hooked up" with co-star Charlie Zakkour during the filming of the show's second season. This development is slated to unfold in the latter half of the current season.
The mid-season trailer for "Next Gen NYC" offers a glimpse into this connection, featuring Zakkour telling castmate Shai Fruchter about Biermann visiting him to "sesh." Another cast member, Riley Burruss, refers to Biermann and Zakkour as a "new dynamic duo," and Emira D’Spain notes that Biermann "gave up her first-class seat to sit next to Charlie" during a cast trip. Despite Ava Dash questioning Biermann about a potential romance, Biermann initially denied any such development.
The source confirmed that Biermann's involvement with Zakkour occurred while cameras were rolling. This occurred as Biermann, 24, was embracing single life following her breakup with long-term on-again, off-again boyfriend Hudson McLeroy. Previously, viewers saw Biermann engaging in flirtatious interactions with series newcomer Liam Obergfoll.
Complicated History
The relationship between Biermann and Zakkour is further complicated by Zakkour's prior friendship with McLeroy. In Season 1 of "Next Gen NYC," Zakkour had created tension by expressing a desire to have sex with Biermann, which was not well-received by McLeroy, her boyfriend at the time.
According to reports, Zakkour, 31, had developed a close friendship with McLeroy, 24, before pursuing a romantic connection with Biermann. During Season 2, McLeroy had reportedly expressed to other male cast members his hope that no one would pursue Biermann while he and Biermann were navigating the early stages of their breakup. Obergfoll and now Zakkour appear to have disregarded this request.
It remains unclear how McLeroy reacted to learning about Biermann and Zakkour's hookup or if their friendship has been impacted. Biermann's current relationship status with McLeroy is also ambiguous. She told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that "we are together but we’re still figuring it out," emphasizing a desire for independent growth rather than a return to a back-and-forth dynamic. However, she confirmed to Cohen that McLeroy and Zakkour are "definitely not" friends anymore, a fallout that she and Cohen suggested should be explored at the "Next Gen NYC" Season 2 reunion.
"Next Gen NYC" airs Wednesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the following day on Peacock.
