Prince Archie has adopted his mother Meghan Markle's penchant for going barefoot, as evidenced by his appearance during a recent European holiday. Photos shared by the Duchess of Sussex showed Archie, 7, strolling without shoes in the countryside.

Meghan, who has spoken about her habit of walking barefoot to 'demystify' herself, often shares images of her children enjoying nature without footwear. Earlier this year, her daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, was also seen running barefoot during an Easter egg hunt.

The Sussex children's relaxed approach to footwear contrasts with their royal cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, who are typically photographed in more formal attire.

The European trip included a visit to Portugal, where the family enjoyed beaches and a local restaurant, and a stay at Princess Diana's ancestral home, Althorp, in Northamptonshire. The children carried bouquets of flowers to lay at their late grandmother's grave and a nearby memorial.

The family also spent time in Scotland, with Meghan sharing a landscape that appears to be Loch Glascarnoch in the Highlands. While not pictured in the shared images, the family also had a private tea with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove, the King's private estate in Gloucestershire. This meeting followed Prince Harry's return to the UK for the Invictus Games in Birmingham. Meghan and the children reportedly joined Harry for part of his visit, with security concerns influencing their arrival and departure. During the trip, Harry's accommodation plans involved a brief period of negotiation regarding a stay at Buckingham Palace.
