Eight-time Olympic medalist Apolo Ohno has filed a lawsuit seeking $385,000 in damages from his ex-girlfriend, Anna Pham, alleging she has refused to return significant personal property. The items in question include Olympic race and training footage, documentary footage intended for future commercial sale, an unpublished book manuscript, and a firearm.

Ohno, 44, a retired short-track speed skater and three-time Olympian, claims Pham is in possession of hundreds of his personal and business items. These reportedly include studio and audio-production equipment, photographic and video equipment, electronics, apparel, and personal Olympic photographs. According to court documents, Ohno stated that his relationship with Pham ended in 2023, though they remained friends for most of 2024. He noted that Pham only returned his Olympic medals in October 2025 after he sent her an Instagram message.

Making his claims in court papers, Ohno is seeking financial compensation for the withheld items. Pham, however, told TMZ that Ohno had been willing to let her return his belongings on her own terms and would pay for them when she was ready to give them back.

Ohno's athletic career includes two gold, two silver, and four bronze medals. He was inducted into the International Sports Hall of Fame in 2017 and the U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame in 2019. Beyond his athletic achievements, Ohno won the fifth season of “Dancing with the Stars” in 2007 and served as an NBC sports analyst for the Olympic Winter Games in 2014 and 2018. His New York Times bestselling book is titled “Zero Regrets.”
