Hollywood legend Ann-Margret, 85, was photographed in a wheelchair during a rare public outing in Los Angeles last weekend. The actress, who rose to fame in the 1960s as a prominent sex symbol and starred with Elvis Presley in the 1964 film "Viva Las Vegas," appeared to be in good spirits.

Seen arriving at a hotel, the "Viva Las Vegas" star was dressed in a chic emerald-green jacket over an all-black ensemble. She accessorized with oversized dark sunglasses and a silver cross necklace, while her signature auburn hair fell around her shoulders.

Hotel staff were seen assisting her as she was wheeled toward the entrance. Other images showed the actress standing with assistance beside a vehicle, her wheelchair positioned nearby. This suggests the mobility aid may be used primarily for assistance getting to and from venues.

The outing comes after Ann-Margret was hospitalized in January following a fall at her home that resulted in a broken elbow. She told Parade magazine at the time, "I fell the other day and so now my right elbow is broken." She added that she had fallen "so many times" but learned from her parents that "you just get up. You just start all over again."

Ann-Margret, born Ann-Margret Olsson in Sweden in 1941, moved to the U.S. with her family as a child. Her passion for performing led her to pursue a career in show business, initially gaining attention as a nightclub singer and dancer. By the 1960s, she had secured a recording contract and began making a name for herself in Hollywood.

Dubbed the "Female Elvis," she achieved significant stardom with roles in "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Viva Las Vegas." Her career evolved over the decades, transforming her from a "sex kitten" persona to a respected dramatic actress. She earned an Academy Award nomination for her role in "Carnal Knowledge" (1971) and a second nomination for "Tommy" (1975). She also starred in "Grumpy Old Men" (1993) and "Grumpier Old Men" (1995). Her most recent acting credit was in the 2022 Hallmark movie "A Holiday Spectacular."

Ann-Margret has received five Golden Globe Awards, one Emmy Award, two Academy Award nominations, and two Grammy Award nominations throughout her career.
